Kingdom, Ritual & Vine

Where kingdom, ritual and vineyard meet

Walk through the heart of Pamplona’s Old Town, in Navarra, tracing the footsteps of kings, pilgrims, and the charged atmosphere of the San Fermín encierros. As we follow the very route of the running of the bulls, the history of the Kingdom of Navarra and its pivotal role in the Camino de Santiago quietly unfolds as part of a wider cultural landscape. Tradition here is not staged—it is woven into the streets themselves.

Leaving the city behind, the Navarra landscape opens toward Pago de Arínzano, one of the few estates in Spain granted the distinction of Denominación de Pago. Here, Chardonnay, Merlot and Tempranillo find a precise and elegant expression, internationally recognized for their refinement. We explore the vineyards by 4x4, understanding the estate’s singular terroir and contemporary architectural vision, before a guided tasting paired with carefully selected local bites.

On the return, we pause at the Wine Fountain of the Monastery of Irache—an enduring gesture to pilgrims on the Camino, where wine flows daily until the cask runs dry. A simple tradition that connects devotion, hospitality and land across Northern Spain.

A private journey where heritage, ritual and viticulture converge with quiet authority.

This understanding shifts when placed alongside neighbouring regions, where time and land are approached through different lenses.

Where ritual, land and time quietly shape the glass.
